JOB PURPOSE:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
•	Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
•	Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities.
•	Completes daily schedule by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on production summaries.
•	Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action
•	Provide leadership and day-to-day direction for the Shipping team ensuring team members are aware of their expectations in each specific role.
•	Provide formal and informal performance feedback, while also leading by example; this includes technical knowledge, initiative, attitude, drive, attendance, professionalism and overall leadership, as well as other areas identified by the Logistics Manager and Human Resources.
•	Inspects loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications.
•	Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules and expedite workflow.
•	Issue written and oral instructions to assigned personnel; assign duties and examine work for exactness, neatness and conformance to policies and procedures.
•	Coordinate with the transportation modes. 
•	Process shipping documents including Bill of Lading, Custom Invoices and Tally Sheets.
•	Provide support for inventories, reconciles shipments, processes freight claims, maintains files and records related to the sales and transportation departments.
•	Coordinate all day-to-day operations and projects in conjunction with the Logistics Manager. Serve as a back-up to other positions as necessary
•	Help identify opportunities for continuous improvement and work inter-departmentally to implement new ideas&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 
•	Minimum High School Diploma or G.E.D. / Bachelor's Degree in Business or similar field preferred or equivalent work experience
•	Minimum seven (7) years direct experience in production or process in industrial manufacturing
•	Minimum five (5) years experience in a supervisory/leadership role
•	Mid-level to Advanced Computer Skills including KSoft and Microsoft Suite

• Responsible for the control process on which items are taken out of the storeroom especially consumables/manage inventory of vending machines.
• Issue and retain files on all issued inventory in KSoft for all employees.
• Develop demands for ordering of miscellaneous parts when needed.
• Work with the Purchasing Manager and Buyer on predicting usage and stock accordingly for all special projects/downtime with consumable vendor.
• Assist Production, Maintenance and Contractors in locating parts within KSoft and storeroom.
• Outside repairs of inventory, tools, radios, micrometres etc.
• Assist with the creation of demands for repairs, packing slip for vendors and pickup request.
• Assist with inside repairs when applicable.
• Create repair article, return item to KSoft, tag and stock.
• Maintain the cleanliness of all inventory areas
• Operate multiple sizes of fork trucks depending on job.
• Unload vans, flatbeds and containers in a timely and quality-minded manner as necessary.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

Candidates in the Profiling Lift Truck Operator position will perform tasks including the safe, efficient operation of a forklift and all associated equipment in the Profiling area that is used for the movement of materials and finished goods throughout the warehouse and distribution areas. Additionally, the operator will be required to perform routine maintenance and cleaning on all machinery involved, understand and use computer software related to the operation of the profiling area, identify conditions, and offer occasional assistance to maintenance personnel and machine operators in the troubleshooting, repair, or preventive maintenance of equipment on the production line.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
What You Need to Succeed:
• High School diploma or G.E.D. certificate
• Qualities like the ability to multitask, work under stress, provide detailed work, use good judgment, problem solve, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills are needed.
• The ability to operate a fork truck to transfer and load/unload raw materials at the press in-feed area
• The ability successfully meet the physical demands of the position
• Have a self-motivated and directed attitude, organized, with a keen attention to detail
• Ability to dependably work a rotating shift schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.

What Will Put You Ahead: Not Required
• Previous experience operating a forklift
• Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS: Activities and Safety Equipment
• Sitting, standing on concrete, walking, climbing, heavy lifting, push/pulling, reaching, bending, vision, hearing, dexterity of hands and fingers, and written and verbal communication.
