The purpose of the Instructor's position is to train associates, using a combination of hands-on and classroom methods, on the safe and efficient operation of all wood panel production equipment, especially the press, refiner, and dryer equipment. The position also ensures that once trained, operators continue to operate equipment according to specified guidelines and procedures. The instructor will assist in determining qualifications of operators for Grade A and B positions and will conduct progress reviews during training.

• Responsible for training press & refiner/dryer operators and issuing certifications to those who successfully complete the training program for Grade A and B Operators. • Responsible for maintaining all training documentation in audit ready condition. • Responsible for creating and maintaining training materials to ensure continued company efficiency and quality requirements are met. • Responsible for accurate, timely, and neat completion of paperwork. • Work closely with all team members, supervision, and leadership to identify, report, and correct existing or potential quality issues, productivity improvements, or cost reduction initiatives. • Assure that all training courses are designed to produce maximum effectiveness, efficiency, improved quality, and increased production for the trainee. • Works with operations management, safety, and quality representatives as well as operators to develop training materials, job aids, and documents for production training programs.

The primary purpose of this job is to perform all tasks involved in moving packaging product through the safe operation of banding equipment according to required specifications. To perform basic, routine equipment maintenance and cleaning on all machinery and workspaces in the area of responsibility. To identify unacceptable product conditions and initiate the proper corrective action. To assist maintenance personnel in the troubleshooting, repair, or preventive maintenance of equipment.

• The ability to read and comprehend work instructions of a technical nature. • The ability to operate or learn to operate heavy machinery. • The ability to work with electric, pneumatic, or hand tools. • The ability to be trained and become certified to operate a forklift. • The ability to comprehend and manipulate metric measurements. • The ability to work effectively with other members of the facility team. • The ability to work without constant supervision. • The ability to creatively problem-solve, individually or as part of a group. • The ability to work in extreme heat and cold • The ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance. • Ability to climb stairs and ladders at a safe but rapid pace WHAT WILL PUT YOU AHEAD . Maintain and clean all areas in the Pre- Production and Particle Board areas. They are also responsible for performing PDM's, routine and complicated equipment checks and maintenance. The Utility position is also responsible for maintaining the press area in a clean and organized fashion.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of associates. • Excellent attendance record. • Demonstrated high energy level, strong work ethic, and positive approach to problem solving. • Basic computer skills including the ability to manipulate a mouse, move between screens, and interpret data. • Strong mechanical aptitude • The ability to use power tools, measuring devices, and other hand tools. • The ability to work with others in identifying and solving complex manufacturing problems. • The ability to work independently with little or no direct supervision. • Ability to work in conditions of extreme heat and cold • Ability to work at high levels from a personnel lift; ability to climb stairs and ladders to multiple story levels • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance WHAT WILL PUT YOU AHEAD • Intermediate knowledge of Particle Board production processes
