Main duties and responsibilities

This position is responsible for developing and maintaining sales relationships with customers of Kronospan USA LLC. This position is also responsible for the sale of the company's products with the goal of maximizing customer service as well as profits for the company. This position sells the company's products through knowledge of OSB/Commodity market dynamics, building materials supply chain, and technical, organizational, and customer knowledge to influence and assist the customer in their buying decisions. This position would be based at our home base in Eastaboga, AL.
• Daily outbound & inbound calls delivering updated pricing and order files while collecting current market information.
• Establish professional relationships while building credibility with customers.
• Maintain up-to-date understanding of industry trends, including building materials supply chain, OSB/commodity market dynamics and technical developments that affect targeted markets, including but not limited to structural panel certifications & regional building codes.
• Maintain up to date warehouse inventory levels, expected inbound/outbound shipments and cost associated with these shipments
• Maintain up-to-date information regarding mill specific structural panel certifications & production capabilities.
• Develop and deliver sales presentations in a professional and effective manner by maintaining up-to-date awareness of company activities and products, industry trends, and customer and consumer needs
• Research customer/consumer needs and develop strategies to effectively meet those needs
• Follow up on sales leads and develop sales leads
• Meet established sales quotas and overall revenue goals through price negotiations, including product mix.
• Develop and maintain communications in a cooperative and professional manner with all levels of staff, plant management and associates, and customers
• Provides day-to-day management of sales account activities within assigned customer base.
• Act to close deals and finalize contracts
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor or managing director
• Assist in the preparation of quotes, contracts, and RFP/RFI responses for potential customers
• Maintain all quote documentation with accurate product pricing
• Research and develop lists of potential customers
• Participate in sales forecasting and planning in an effective manner
• Create and maintain sales reports
• Assist in order reception and other customer service duties as needed
• Assist in planning and scheduling processes as needed
• Familiarity and understanding of shipping incoterms & coordinate with CSR's to ensure all import documentation is processed sufficiently
• Act as the liaison between quality, customer service and customers for OSB claims.

Requirements

• 2-3 years in a sales position or equivalent experience in operations
• C2 - English
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office software
• Ability to create graphic presentations for customers, shareholder, and senior management
• Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, or business or equivalent experience
• Must have a basic understanding of board manufacturing technology and processes
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication / presentation skills
• Must have excellent customer relations skills including customer response, service improvement, and the ability and willingness to keep commitments
• Must display original thinking and creativity through resourcefulness, suggestions, and problem solving
• Must have intimate knowledge of all Kronospan LLC products
• Must have excellent math skills including the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percents as well as to create and interpret graph and chart information
