Main duties and responsibilities

-Follow appropriate safety procedures for transporting hazardous and non-hazardous materials
-Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order
-Maintain logs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair status, follow applicable state and federal regulations
-Maintain load manifests and all other vehicle documents, ensuring they are properly completed
-Obtain receipts or signatures for received or delivered goods when necessary
-Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading position, and check that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned
-Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damages to the vehicles immediately
-Report tanker defects, accidents or damages immediately
-Maintain a clean environments inside and outside the truck at all times
-Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of truck and trailer with each trip
-Wear company issued uniform

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year tanker experience with HazMat

CDL Class A License
DOT Certifications: Tanker Endorsement
HazMat Endorsement (N and H or X)
Valid DOT Medical Card
Clean Driving Record
