Main duties and responsibilities
The primary purpose of the OSB Pre-Production supervisor position is to manage the planning, organizing, controlling and running optimum day to day Particle Board Plant Operation through an appropriate resources management. The OSB Pre-Production supervisor will be responsible to implement a zero incident plant culture and monitor a safe and standard asset operation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Adhere to plant safety procedure and implement a zero incident culture
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Manage the OSB Plant Pre-Production Operation through and optimal planning, organization, direction and control
• Complete the production plan through proper resource assignment
• Cost control to achieve company budget goals
• Prepare daily operation results on shift production summaries
• OSB Pre-Production area output and quality
• Work closely with all team members, supervision, and leadership to identify, report, and correct existing or potential safety hazards, quality issues, productivity improvements, or cost reduction initiatives.
• Coordinate maintenance and repairs to ensure a smooth operation and safe working environment
• Ensure all legal requirements , company safety procedures and local/state health and safety regulation are met
• Ensure all Kronospan policies and procedures are followed
• Develop cost budget and control the expenses
• Test and monitor OSB Pre-Production area processes
• Develop system and process to control the OSB Plant Pre-Production area through metric and performance indicators (KPI)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• 3 years Plant Operation experience
• Proven managerial experience
• Adequate experience in Panel boards industry
• Safe thinking and risk management
• HR Management and teamwork
• Customer service orientation & Product development
• Leadership, proactive thinking and planning
• Continuous improvement (PDCA Cycle)
• Decision making, responsibility and accountability
• Data analysis and learning abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work closely with others
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
Requirements
• Required up to 1/3 of work time: Sitting, lifting, push/pulling, reaching face shield/goggles, dust mask/respirator, hard hat and high visibility vest.
• Required 1/3 to ½ of work time: Walking, climbing, bending, written communication.
• Required 2/3 of work time or more: Seeing, hearing, standing, dexterity, verbal communication, ear plugs and safety glasses.
