Main duties and responsibilities

This position will work with production, management, and administrative personnel, as-well-as with vendors to improve the design, installation, maintenance and operation of all types of control devices and electronic accessories. Will work with computers, distributed control systems, programmable logic controllers, electronic control devices, and miscellaneous peripherals that support mill production.
The Electronics specialist will work with users to troubleshoot problems with computing hardware and related electronic control systems.
• Program and manage process controls.
• Research and assist with problem solving process issues.
• Maintain documentation and communicate all changes with the process controls.
• Identify issues
• Help reduce variation in the process
• Improve process controls to increase profitability of the plant.
• Work with electrical staff on process control
• Train electrical staff and junior employees
Always program with compliance to employee safety (lockout procedures, confined space SOP's, etc.) and environmental rules in mind.

Requirements

• A college degree in relevant field is desired.
• At least 10 years with electronics, computers, control systems, or have equivalent technical education
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Proven managerial experience
• Adequate experience in Panel boards industry
• Safe thinking and risk management
• HR Management and teamwork

• Leadership, proactive thinking and planning

• Decision making, responsibility and accountability
• Data analysis and learning abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
