Main duties and responsibilities

The primary purpose of the Weigh Bridge Operator's position is to perform all assigned tasks, including but not limited to, serving as the central point of safety communication, security and surveillance of the plant facilities and grounds, directing contractor activity into the facility, and identifying and weighing inbound and outbound delivery vehicles including raw materials. The operator will also be required to perform routine cleaning of their workspaces.
This position will be required to work a rotating shift schedule including weekends.

Requirements

• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of associates.
• Excellent attendance record.
• Demonstrated high energy level, strong work ethic, and positive approach to problem solving.
• The ability to work independently with little or no direct supervision.
• The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
• Ability to maintain a secure facility by requiring proper identification to any and all personnel before entering the facility.
• Ability to perform routine daily security and safety visual inspections of facility grounds.
• Ability to perform routine daily environmental visual inspections of facility grounds.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft office software
• High level of customer service skill
• Ability to multi-task in a high-stress environment
