Main duties and responsibilities
To support the CFO in carrying out the responsibilities of the Accounting Department Responsible for assisting with all aspects of corporate accounting to ensure compliance with company policy and GAAP and ensure protection of company assets. To assist site management with matters related to accounting.
This position may be required to work some weekends, evenings, and holidays. This position may be required to fill in for other positions during absences.

• BS/BA Degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of education and work experience
• Experience in making balance sheet reconciliations
• Experience with Monthly and Year-end closing processes
• Experience assisting with semi-annual and year-end audits
• Understanding of manufacturing costing processes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of associates; must have strong grasp of business English, grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task in fast paced situations
• Excellent attendance record.
• Demonstrated high energy level, strong work ethic, and positive approach to problem solving.
• Ability to work independently under tight reporting deadlines and/or in a team environment
• Advanced experience using Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word – document creation, formatting and editing etc. and Excel – spreadsheet creation/editing, pivot tables, data manipulation/analysis and formulas creation etc.)
Additional information
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• 5+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong foundational knowledge of US GAAP and inventory accounting is desired
