Main duties and responsibilities

At Kronospan we pride ourselves on delivering “Wood Perfected” and have invested in innovation since 1897. As the world leader in the manufacturing of wood based panel products, we are seeking a loyal, ambitious and passionate Multi Skilled Shunter / HGV Drivers who can add real value to our teams.

This is a 4 on 4 off Shift position working 06.00 – 18.00 and 18.00 to 06.00 providing site-wide shunting trailers/tankers to support Despatch loading/unloading and production

• Shunting empty trailers to Kronospan & Kronoplus
• Shunting Dust/Sawdust/Formalin/Zeno Fuel/Rejects as and when required
• Ensuring that all the relevant paperwork has been provided before shunting trailers on site
• Strapping up all loads of wood panel products, to ensure packs to not fall off the trailers when in transit
• Basic maintenance of shunting vehicles (including oil and water cheques). Reporting any potential maintenance issues to management
• Housekeeping duties as and when directed by management
• P.P.E and Health and Safety is maintained at all times

Requirements

• Retain the appropriate HGV licenses
• Additional FLT / Heavy plant Licenses would be advantageous
• To succeed, you must be flexible, hardworking and quality conscious.
• Comfortable working a continental shift pattern, and enthusiastic enough to commit to working a minimum number of additional hours on a required-cover basis.
