Main duties and responsibilities

The Stores Clerk is responsible for monitoring all supplies received in and issued from the storeroom. The position is responsible for assisting in the establishment and maintenance of the storeroom organization, processes and procedures. Some of the duties include but are not limited to:
• Receive, store, and issue equipment, materials, supplies, and tools
• Sort incoming articles to ensure accuracy of invoices and receipts
• Examine stock to verify conformance to specifications, stores articles in bins, on floor or on shelves, according to identifying information
• Maintain security of storeroom and reports any breeches of security
• Maintain integrity of inventory locations by ensuring there are no mixed bins and that items are properly located
• Assist in creating new bin locations as needed
• Distribute items to associates and contractors, keeping records of material issued,
• May make adjustments or repairs to inventory items
• Make local pick-ups of purchased supplies and equipment
• Conduct inventory checks of stored items and report accuracy/variances to manager
This is a rotating shift position requiring overtime as needed.

Requirements

• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of associates.
• Excellent attendance record.
• Demonstrated high energy level, strong work ethic, and positive approach to problem solving.
• Advanced computer skills including experience using Microsoft office products including Word and Excel.
• Basic mechanical aptitude
• The ability to use power tools, measuring devices, and other hand tools.
• The ability to work with others in identifying and solving complex problems.
• The ability to work independently with little or no direct supervision.
• Ability to work in conditions of extreme heat and cold
• Ability to work at high levels from a personnel lift
• Ability to drive a lift truck
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance
• Must meet eligibility requirements for job awards per the Associate Handbook
• Must have a valid driver's license

WHAT WILL PUT YOU AHEAD
• Basic knowledge of MDF production processes.
• 2-5 years of store room experience
