Main duties and responsibilities

The electrical supervisor is responsible for safely coordinating their crew to achieve the electrical maintenance needs of the Particleboard Plant. This position supervises the operation of the electrical shop and the electrical department to ensure quality work is being done. Reports directly to the maintenance manager and interacts with the safety coordinator, finishing superintendent, production department, technical director, purchasing agent, and hourly reports to provide an efficient and safe plant operation.

The electrical supervisor is responsible for the direct supervision of their assigned hourly crew to ensure maximum uptime of the particleboard plant at a consistently high quality standard with minimum costs.
This position oversees general operation of the electrical maintenance department with a major focus on compliance with respect to employee safety (lockout procedures, confined space SOP's, etc.) and environmental rules.

Requirements

- A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering is desired; state of Oregon electrical supervisor's card a requirement
- Experience in Electrical Maintenance with supervisor/leadership capabilities.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Intermediate to high level of competence using Microsoft Office suite of software
