Main duties and responsibilities

Main duties and responsibilities
The Human Resource Manager, located in Simsboro, LA, is accountable for the administration of all phases of Human Resources including, but not limited to, employment, compensation, benefits, payroll, organizational development, associate relations, training, and staffing. The position leads and optimizes these functions in support of the manufacturing operations. The role focuses on strategic talent management, employee relations, safety compliance, and organizational development to drive productivity, minimize turnover, and align HR initiatives with production goals in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Additionally, the position is responsible for the implementation of programs and policies to protect the company and its associates in accordance with corporate guidelines and state and federal regulations.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Talent Acquisition and Retention: Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies to attract and maintain a skilled workforce suited for manufacturing operations.
2. Employee Relations: Manage employee grievances, foster a positive workplace culture, and mediate conflicts to maintain morale and productivity in a high-pressure production environment.
3. Safety and Compliance: Work directly with plant and safety management to ensure adherence to OSHA regulations and industry-specific safety standards.
4. Training and Development: Assist the Training Department in the design and delivery of training programs to enhance employee skills, particularly in operating specialized machinery and maintaining quality standards for particle board production.
5. Performance Management: Coordinate performance evaluation system to align employee output with company goals, providing feedback and coaching to improve efficiency and quality.
6. Compensation and Benefits: Administer competitive wage structures, benefits packages, and incentive programs tailored to the manufacturing sector to attract talent and reduce turnover.
7. Workforce Planning and HR Strategy: Collaborate with plant leadership to forecast staffing needs, manage labor budgets, and align HR initiatives with operational objectives to support production targets and business growth.
