Main duties and responsibilities

• Adhere to plant safety procedure and implement a zero incident culture
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Manage the PB Plant Finishing Area Operation through and optimal planning, organization, direction and control
• Contact carriers and set up pick-ups of outbound freight.
• Responsible for cycle counting to insure warehouse inventory integrity.
• Communicate with Facility Management on safety, quality, production, and process improvement issues.
• Monitors performance measurements to ensure accuracy and on-time delivery of product.
• Responsible for providing performance feedback and counselling to associates including initiating disciplinary action.
• Assist in the preparation of Logistics reports for distribution to Management.
• Assist in monitoring and maintaining proper staffing levels to accomplish goals and objectives of the department in an effective and efficient manner.
• Coordinate with maintenance staff to correct any safety hazards
• Complete the production plan through proper resource assignment
• Cost control to achieve company budget goals
• PB Finishing area output, shipping and quality
• Work closely with all team members, supervision, and leadership to identify, report, and correct existing or potential safety hazards, quality issues, productivity improvements, or cost reduction initiatives.
• Coordinate maintenance and repairs to ensure a smooth operation and safe working environment
• Ability to be assigned to any shift.
• Ensure all legal requirements, company safety procedures and local/state health and safety regulation are met
• Ensure all Kronospan policies and procedures are followed
• Monitor attendance records of direct reports and correct any deficiencies through the disciplinary process.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor, or member of management.
• Assist other associates when needed.
• Assist Logistics Manager in training of new associates, and cross training of all department members.
• Safety & risk analysis, Kronospan LOTO procedures, Emergency procedures, Fire extinguishing system, Environmental aspects and regulations, K-Soft user level, proficient with MS Project, Problem solving(root cause analysis), Unit conversion, Planning and scheduling , Managing and leadership, supervision and accountability, technical and managing reports, quality control).
• Demonstrated commitment to zero incident safety culture, ability to create accountability and lead by example, strong team building, decision making and people management, multitask and efficient time management, encouraging the team and staff, able to mentor and lead, teamwork and continuous improvement attitude, ability to schedule and balance priorities, aptitude for equipment operation and troubleshooting

Requirements

• 3 years Plant Operation experience
• Proven managerial experience
• Adequate experience in Panel boards industry
• Safe thinking and risk management
• HR Management and teamwork
• Customer service orientation
• Leadership, proactive thinking and planning
• Continuous improvement (PDCA Cycle)
• Decision making, responsibility and accountability
• Data analysis and learning abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work closely with others
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Advanced PC skills and experience
• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
