For our UK based manufacturing operation in Chirk we are looking for an ambitious and committed:

Commercial Director

We are seeking a talented, passionate and resilient professional to join our senior management team. As the Commercial Director, you will play a crucial role in taking Kronospan to the next level by identifying and concluding new sales opportunities to drive significant increased revenue and improved market share. If you possess an entrepreneurial mindset, have excellent leadership skills, and a strategic approach, we encourage you to apply.

Main duties and responsibilities

• You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive commercial strategies to achieve sustainable business growth.

• Utilising your expertise in sales management and strategic planning, you will drive our commercial activities and lead the pursuit of new business opportunities.

• With enhanced commercial acumen, including having a strong head for figures, you will be capable of applying previous experience of P&L responsibility to set and deliver targets.

• Travelling extensively both in the UK and internationally, you will personally negotiate with key decision makers to conclude multi-million pound contracts.

• You will have operational responsibility for the Sales, Specification, Marketing, Supply Chain and Production Planning teams. You will lead, mentor and motivate your people to achieve excellent output in their work activities.

• Provide in person support & assistance to other Kronospan operations globally.

Requirements

• Well-travelled and comfortable in more than one language, the right candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent performance in a significant commercial role during their career to date.

• Motivated by career development and competitive in nature, you will relish this opportunity to join the senior management team of a UK manufacturing and distribution operation targeting a £½billion turnover.

• Initially being mentored directly by the CEO, you will be a quick learner with an eye for detail and eager to take on the responsibilities of the Commercial Director in as short a period as possible.

• You will possess excellent communication, administrative and leadership skills. As a 24/7 operation, senior management are expected to lead by example – live the role
