Main duties and responsibilities

The Logistics Coordinator coordinates the receiving, storage, and distribution of all finished products manufactured at or received by the AN facilities. The position is responsible for the proper, safe, and secure location of products in the warehouse.

This is a 2nd Shift Position

The position is also responsible for on-time shipments, safety, housekeeping, and quality in the areas of responsibility.
1. Managerial
• Contact carriers and set up pick-ups of outbound freight.
• Responsible for cycle counting to insure warehouse inventory integrity.
• Communicate with Facility Management on safety, quality, production, and process improvement issues.
• Communicate and consult with HR on all personnel related issues including staffing, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
• Monitors performance measurements to ensure accuracy and on-time delivery of product. Develop and implement standardized work procedures.
• Communicate with the maintenance personnel to maximize uptime of equipment in the warehouse.
• Communicate with material handling equipment manufacturers to ensure maintenance and repair of equipment is performed in a timely manner.
• Coordinate training, goal setting, and work schedules for the Logistics and Despatch associates.
• Responsible for providing performance feedback and counseling to associates including initiating disciplinary action.
• Assist in the preparation of Logistics reports for distribution to Management.
• Assist in monitoring and maintaining proper staffing levels to accomplish goals and objectives of the department in an effective and efficient manner.
• Assist in the hiring process to include interviewing, selection, and orientation of new associates on their shift.
• Responsible for conducting annual assessment of direct reports and the direct and honest communication of performance accomplishments and deficiencies. Responsible for establishing timelines for performance improvement goals.
• Coordinate with maintenance staff to correct any safety hazards
2. Maintenance / Housekeeping
• Responsible for daily housekeeping assignments in the warehouse and shipping areas
3. Safety
• Ensure the safe performance of all personnel in the area of responsibility including forklift safety, proper use of PPE, and
4. Other
• Monitor attendance records of direct reports and correct any deficiencies through the disciplinary process.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor, or member of management.
• Assist other associates when needed.
• Read, comprehend, and follow all JHSAs, technical specifications, and work instructions for the assigned process task.
• Comply with all Kronospan policies and procedures.
• Work closely with all team members, supervision, and leadership to identify, report, and correct existing or potential safety hazards, quality issues, productivity improvements, or cost reduction initiatives.
• Responsible for department operations during Logistic Manager's absence.

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work closely with others in a small team environment
• Good mechanical aptitude
• Ability to safely operate mobile equipment
• 2-3 years in a fast paced warehouse environment preferred
• intermediate computer knowledge
• Minimum High school graduate or equivalent; preferred bachelor's degree in a logistics, planning, or purchasing discipline
