Main duties and responsibilities

Responsible for oversight of production process improvements, new product development, and quality including efficiency & uptime, cost, quality, safety, environmental, and meeting production/delivery schedules. The TFL Shift Leader also assists management with organizing, housekeeping, machine cleaning, cost effective supply utilization, and oversight of policy compliance for the areas of responsibility including but not limited to board infeed, finished goods warehouse, and lamination. The position may fill in for department managers as necessary. This is an hourly position and is eligible for overtime.
This position may be required to fill in for other positions during absences

• Ability to make logical, unemotional decisions in stressful situations
• A strong desire and willingness to both learn and teach
• Ability to multi-task in fast paced situations
• Basic to Intermediate computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products
• Ability to work independently under tight deadlines and/or in a team environment
• Excellent time management skills
• Must have the qualities of stress tolerance, persistence, self-control, self-organization, integrity and flexibility

WHAT WILL PUT YOU AHEAD
• 3+ years of production experience in a laminate manufacturing environment
• Degree in Forest Products, Engineering, Industrial Technology or similar discipline
• 3+ years in a position of leadership
• Advanced knowledge of product quality standards and end uses
