Main duties and responsibilities

The Network Analyst is responsible for overseeing data networks to ensure proper maintenance and security to include patches and system updates. Duties include working with other IT staff and company employees to identify network or computer system needs, overseeing the installation of new hardware or software and using employee feedback to isolate issues.
• Fully support, configure, maintain and upgrade corporate networks
• Consistently monitor and troubleshoot network stability and performance
• Ensure network security and connectivity
• Provide support for all telecommunication equipment
• Prepare, implement and monitor disaster procedures and recovery
• Resolve problems reported by end user
• Define network policies and procedures
• Specify system requirements and design solutions
• Maintaining computer networks and systems including software, VPNs, routers and other physical hardware
• Maintain corporate wifi networks for security and connectivity issues
• Utilizing diagnostic tools, service aids and other product information to resolve equipment failures
• Configuring and maintaining Cisco and HP network hardware including switches and firewalls
• Maintain monitoring system and escalate issues for resolution as necessary
• Write technical support documentation for network systems and applications
• Attend all necessary training courses in order to remain current in all aspects of information technology
• Understand IT Policies and Procedures and communicate/train on these policies and procedures to the user community
• Complete all required safety training as required complying with established deadlines

Requirements

• High school degree (Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred)
• CCNA or other network specialty
• Configuring and maintaining Cisco and HPE network hardware including switches and firewalls
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills
• Flexibility to handle continually changing priorities/demands
• Strong customer orientation
• Strong team player with a commitment to company values
• Excellent math skills
• Able to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently within the context of a fast-paced environment
• Must have strong computer skills, especially of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and the adobe suite of products
• Excellent attendance record.
• Demonstrated high energy level, strong work ethic, and positive approach to problem solving.
• Must be a team player and have the ability to work and interact with associates/departments throughout the organization

WHAT WILL PUT YOU AHEAD
• Knowledge of networking services and common networking protocols. Computer proficiency and understanding of various types of hardware. Ability to problem solve and think critically. CCNA or other network certifications. Attention to detail. Communication skills. Project management skills.
