Main duties and responsibilities

The purpose of the Technical Auditors position is to ensure the safety of all people, equipment, and property of Kronospan's North American sites.

The main duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Conduct risk management audits of assigned sites and implement procedures to ensure compliance with Kronospan risk management protocols to protect people, equipment, buildings and property.
• Perform workplace/work site risk evaluation and consultative risk improvement services
• Perform analysis to identify hazards and operational problems throughout Kronospan's North American sites
• Determine components, safety measures and/or human interventions important for plant safety and security
• Perform analysis to quantify the importance of risk management failures and potential failures, so that actions to reduce the probability or to mitigate the severity can be taken
• Provide post-audit evaluations and progress reports of to management as required
• Evaluate industrial and construction-related activities; conduct health and safety (H&S) evaluations and inspections of buildings, facilities, and equipment to identify hazards/deficiencies and provide management with recommendations to resolve safety-related issues.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years within Process Safety or similar function
• High level of interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
• High level of attention to detail
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent communication and project management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software
• Knowledge of state, local, and federal safety regulations
• Strong training and presentation skills
• BS in Safety, Engineering, Chemistry, or other technical degree is preferred
